Ways of using a wireless headset
Headsets allow us to listen with an earpiece to audio from cell phones or chat lines and to respond using the built-in microphone. Wireless headset technology is now found in many new telephones, cell phones and computers and makes communication incredibly easy before; however, if you have never used a wireless headset before, a few simple tips will help you to take full advantage of this innovative technology.
Buy a wireless headset that fits you comfortably, has any additional features that you need and of course that is compatible with your cellular phone while falling into your budget. Bluetooth headsets are the industry standard and are the most compatible with today’s technology. Wireless headsets are also available for landline telephones; however, take into consideration the range of the headset and compatibility with other technology.
Become familiar with all of the buttons and features of your wireless headset before you use it for the first time. Once you have memorized the buttons and slipped the headset over your ear, you can easily turn the headset off and on, answer or hang up a phone call and adjust volume.
Troubleshoot wireless headset problems by ensuring your phone, cell phone or computer is within the proper range and not obstructed by other objects. Your cell phone must have a fully charged battery for best performance, but most wireless setups will also allow you to select from multiple channels for top possible signal. Finally, if the batteries in the headset itself are going bad, the signal may begin to fail.

Users can hear ring tones, answer and end calls, adjust the volume or even mute the call from the headset; and be up to 300 feet away from the phone.
What To Look For In New Headphones
A new pair of headphones is a great thing. They bring us endless fun and enjoyment and are really amazing inventions. They allow us to experience a level of sound quality that would take thousands of dollars to replicate with traditional speakers. Not many people know that. And only for a few hundred dollars too.
First off, there is very little acoustic interference from the room within headphone cups, the drivers (the little speakers inside the headphones) are very close to your eardrum so there is very little lost detail through the air and lastly they don’t need fancy amps to run because they operate at a much lower sound level.
The various styles and types of headphones available have exploded over the years. There are in-ear style ear-buds, over-ear ear-buds, and open, closed, wireless, surround, noise cancelling, audiophile, DJ, mobile phone and many more types. It can be a little overwhelming so I suggest trying out a few first before you buy.
That is always good advice but it’s more challenging with ear-buds because of hygiene issues. Generally stores don’t allow people to try them out before they buy them and this makes it a little trickier to get the best ones for you. I suggest trying out your friends headphones, testing out the dedicated ear-bud stations at some stores. They normally have a few pairs dedicated just to customers trying them out (don’t forget to clean them first though).
You can also check out the reviews on Amazon too. They will usually give you a good idea of what the headphones strengths and weaknesses are. Of course the normal over the ear headphones are much easier to shop for. What you want to look out for in my opinion, and in order of most to least important is:
Jabra goes public with next generation Jabra STONE2 Bluetooth headset
Jabra has long been associated with Bluetooth peripherals right from the beginning – I clearly remember back in the days where having Bluetooth on your phone meant you were in the upper percentile of the population where earning power is concerned, but it is nice to see that technology being made available to the masses that these days, any phone without Bluetooth might be looked at in a strange way.
When Bluetooth connectivity has become a staple in handsets, you know that the accessory and peripherals market will blossom as well. Enter Jabra with their latest generation Jabra STONE2 Bluetooth headset, touted to deliver a whole new level of usability to Bluetooth headsets as it merges features with unprecedented style, bringing new meaning to the expression ‘form and function’.
Sharing a similar revolutionary design as the Jabra STONE, the next generation Jabra STONE2 will boast a new voice concept which paves the way for a truly hands-free experience. This new voice system is smart enough to informs the user who is calling and letting them say “answer” to take the call or “ignore” to reject it. With Voice Guidance, set-up is a snap, and you can even have your total battery remaining announced.
